Quick Changes: Work to Night

I had to rapidly muster an outfit that would be versatile for after hours, so I decided on this look. Surprisingly I selected this fitted dress. Typically I would lean in the direction of something more structured or roomy, however for some reason I felt in the mood for easy colour and minimal accessories. A multi-occasion outfit does not exactly need to be complicated or loaded with jewellery.

I actually had hosiery on for the workplace, but when in route to dinner the afterthought of a quick snap shot resulted in ditching them to show a little leg. A slight chill, a comfortable dress and voila  a workable ensemble!

How is your week going so far?

    Great shift dress !
It's always a good investment to have a dress that can easily take you from work to night in a second.

I totally adore that dress!  One of my favorite outfit looks from you.  That was a great choice!  I usually opt for dresses myself when I have an event right after work.  All it takes is a blazer to make it work appropriate. 🙂

A great example of taking a dress from day to night. I think more people should take this line of thinking. Rather than going for multiple outfits, it's all about minimalism, wearing the most of what you've got.

nice job! I like the stripe dress, very classy and versatile. And the red stripe is such a nice accent. Very flattering dress on you too. I like the simple addition of a jacket. Voila! A totally different look!

haha! No it's not weird. You lucky girl! I wouldn't say that "all" of my outfits for work can be transformed into night lively, but many of them are… though there are times when I want to be a bit more sexy, i.e. on date night than my work attire. Thanks Cheryl! co 🙂

i love the fitted dress with the blazer. is it weird if i think everything i wear to work is appropriate for wearing at night? i swear, i don't dress like the office slut, but i don't wear the typical/usual work attire either. good thing there aren't any dress code rules.
