There are many holiday parties that I am usually excited to attend during this time of year. I always enjoy dressing upin gowns and themed outfits with close friends and co-workers. We usually have one huge themed party where guests are often dressed in twenties styles or forties inspired outfits.
But, for my first semi-holiday dinner of the season I decided to go for a low key ensemble. Well, at least low key in the sense of knowing howmost people were going to be dressed there, which is generally a hybrid of after-work sparkling comfort and tis the season glam outfits.
Although, in the end it did seem that most of us were thinking along the same lines regarding attire that night.
I took my work outfit, and added fur for the dinner. I was tired and had just got in after a long week conference so this outfit worked perfectly for a nice gathering with friends.
Since bold colour and layering suited my mood I tossed on this vintage silk scarf with a brooch for a touch of character! Mission: accomplished and the fun has only begun!
I hope you’re having a wonderful week. Have you started attending any holiday gatherings yet?

Such a gorgeous skirt. My mom has one just like it but in a green plaid pattern. I love the styling.
I keep forgetting to tell you. When you comment on my blog and I click on your 'name' it opens up this funky reader page and not your actual blog page. You think you can fix it?
Daphne.

Yes bring out the fur … or faux fur too! Thanks! 🙂
Hi dear, hope all is well with you. Cant tell you much love this look. In love with your skirt and the touch of fur is beautiful, it somehow comes across so natural and subtly chic in the way that you have styled it rather then to opulent and over the top. The print clashing neck scarf is of course a wonderful touch, finishing the look perfectly! I must also say I am loving the eye make up, stunning sweetie 🙂
Take care,
