For someone who adores colour in an array of shades and forms,
there is one pattern that’s pleasing to me in plain black and white—it’s classic
stripes! Well, that and polka dots … and houndstooth, okay you get my point!
I am not usually a fan of a dress with pockets, that is unless it’s
a great dress that also has a casual-cool comfort factor. It’s even better
when your fashion happiness is found in a maxi! Maxis are my favourite to wear because of their versatility. With that being said, this was
a contender for (when I was pondering of) what to wear for an art showing. I
already wear my maxi dresses year round, and have wanted a few more that
are more basic in colour.
Over these past few weekends I have been catching up with long distance friends during my break times, in addition to squeezing in blog reading in the wee hours of the night. And, this past week my chats
were full of laughter to the point that my abdominal muscles were shouting
themselves. Don’t you love those types of conversations with friends?
On to the outfit: since most of what I tend to wear is generally bold and
bright, here’s a dress that I have fallen in love with. It’s very comfortable,
entirely minimal, and an all-in-one style with the top and waist gathering,
which was the initial reason why I was drawn to it. An easy style with no-fuss wearing, and extremely comfortable? Yes, we all need days like these!
I am off to explore, and perhaps do some vintage shopping.

Such a lovely look doll, I love stripes. A lot of patterns are fantastic in black and white. I like dresses with pockets, but it depends on what they look like as sometimes they make the pockets stick out too much and then it doesn't look as nice, but more what you'd wear at home on lazy days.
