The excitement for spring’s arrival seems to have spread throughout our office like a common cold. Vendors and cohorts wishing, hoping, and praying for the birds to chirp a little bit more. There’s an eagerness for the dead grass to turn money green, and the flowers outside to do what they do best, bloom with an aroma exuding both a thirst for warmth and grandeur.
I wore this look on a casual Friday some time ago. I always feel like a pencil skirt is a good style to have, but even better if it has an edginess to it. This faux leather version was a splendid alternative to a basic pencil skirt, especially in the transition from winter to spring. It also went well with my orange studded clutch and necklace, which you will see more of later this week.
On a side note: I finally gave my new Anastasia contour palette a try, which after playing around with it for an hour or so, I feel slightly more comfortable. But, it will take some time. It was a small deviation away from running errands after work, although it was also hilariously reminiscent of moments when I used to play dress up as a little girl. I would say that I looked like a kid in a candy store overjoyed with happiness, but I could not really eat candy growing up so that analogy doesn’t exactly work for me.
There’s loads to share coming up with a fun project next week, so keep your eyes peeled. Thanks again for all of your lovely comments, and excellent feedback on my recent recipes.
Lastly, congratulations to Jeannette of Ms Jeannie and Her Closet, who is the winner of the giveaway.
