Herbal Tea Collection
The new tea collection from dōTERRA launched before the holidays just in time to get a good herbal dose of wellness. This duo, Immunity Boosting Tea and Soothing Tea make a good caffeine-free cuppa, or energy-boosting sips for a lovely midwinter brew.
I have to say though, both are flavourful loose tea blends, but my favourite is the Immunity Boosting Tea. It is made with wild orange and lemon essential oils, and with flavour notes of elderberry, rooibos, chamomile, orange peel, fennel, lemon verbena, liquorice root, and ginger. The smell of wild orange citrus really speaks to me — a piquant and flavourful herbal blend — the lemon is fresh and the tea is good enough to take it any time of the day for a refreshing zing.
Early Grey drinkers will enjoy this blend; the Soothing Tea has an infusion of tranquil essential oils for calming purposes. Delicate and warm flavours of rose petals, chamomile and orange flower are enveloped in this blend. Key ingredients are of peppermint leaf, beetroot bulb, blackberry leaf, lavender flower, and lemongrass.
Both teas in this set come in canisters, a tin with one can top opener and a lid.
Frankincense
Boswellia carterii, sacra, papyrifera, and frereana
I wrote about this ancient oil before but recently I have been using it a different way than I have in the past. I like to use frankincense in my nightly skincare and in my toner — a few drops are all that is needed. It works very well for healing the skin; helping to reduce blemishes and scar marks, in addition to having antibacterial properties and blood flowing benefits.
This [resin] oil has been used for health benefits and ceremonial purposes but there are other modern uses that one can use this oil for. I have used this oil in DIY kits for Christmas gifts, it works so well for men in making salves and beard balms. Personally, using a few drops of frankincense at night helps to reduce overworked feet, I use it in my foot lotion as well. It has a warming effect. It has a spicy, earthy but clean fragrance with a slight note similar to lime.
[The Travel Set] – Yarrow|Pom: Body Renewal Serum 44ml (1.5 oz) + Active Botanical Nutritive Duo 15ml
In this post, I reviewed the Yarrow Pom oil, which is full of antioxidants and botanical elements. This new trio by dōTERRA includes the yarrow pom oil, capsules and a newly launched yarrow pom body oil. It is fitting in a pebble-grain travel case for convenience.
I have already been impressed with the yarrow pom oil — still use it on a weekly basis — because of the chock-full bioactive compounds, hydrating capacity, and cold-pressed pomegranate seed oil, amongst other benefits.
I definitely have felt and seen a difference in my skin from the Yarrow Pom oil, which I have been using since last year. The body oil version is just as good.
Cellular Beauty Complex Capsules (30 capsules)
These supplements are a dynamic mixture of antioxidants and essential oils to support healthier skin and radiant skin.
I was really excited to try the capsules since the formula allows you to take it by mouth whilst combating oxidative stress and maintaining a youthful appearance. Other active ingredients: melon extracts, grape seed, as well as zinc citrate and vitamin C.
As far as the beauty complex capsules go, I cannot say that I saw an incredible difference but with the same ingredients as the body serum and oil. There’s multitude of other antioxidants and proven active elements to improve the skin: Turmeric, Melissa oil, melon extracts, grape seed and vitamin C. I don’t know, in my opinion, there’s only so much one can expect when you are already using elements in your weekly skincare regime that have good ingredients already. I believe the ultimate results are contingent on other wellness applications; what do you eat, your overall fitness, as well as sleep quality.
The special selection of ingredients is made to help brighten the complexion, firm the skin, and reduce skin imperfections, in addition to promoting cellular health and metabolism support. Overall, I really enjoy this line and definitely will continue to use the Yarrow Pom facial and body oil.
Extraction: Cold-pressed Pomegranate oil
Have you tried any of these? Which one would you use?
