Springtime is here and Easter is just around the corner! I wanted to share some snippets from the party that I styled for an Easter celebration! It’s full of cheerful colours with chock-full of creative elements to get you inspired.
Some of the DIYs that I made for this party are in this post; there are other DIYs that I wanted to incorporate and design for this Easter tablescape because they took a bit longer than the others. The best way to tackle this party/installation was to merge two themes that I had in mind; tea party meets backyard birthday. This was done before the whole issue we are facing. I also made a gluten-free vanilla coconut cake, due to guests, but I can attest to its success, surprisingly incredibly delicious! You can see how I attempted to decorate it (in the photo above and) below!
I wanted to create a warm, inviting theme with loads of charm, especially when using beautiful pastel colours. Let’s talk about the décor and DIY creations!
Craft & Inspire
(1) I spray painted palm leaves in two hues for a gradated effect, (2) These bamboo fans work really lovely when arranged on the wall with silk wisteria and I will definitely use them in the future for more décor, (3) Little luxe acrylic boxes of eggs; I painted each lid with gold foil and filled the boxes with speckled foam eggs.
(4) Moss box centrepiece; this was made using a cardboard box that I covered in moss carefully with hot glue, (5) Cottages: I painted cardboard housed and used moss to cover a couple of them, then added a DIY thatched roof for effect; I will be showing this DIY later, but you may catch some exclusive snippets on my IG Story.
(6) DIY Birdcage dessert shelves: This was fun to put together, sadly, it has since sold out; the almost filigree design is all made from cardboard. I added woodland birds with speckled eggs in nests, and my chalkboard signs.
This list along with the other aforementioned [six] DIYs in the post here made this entire display, and ‘takes the cake’ if you will, no pun intended. You can create your very own! Take small bits of each tablescape here and get inspired for spring and Easter entertaining.
You will find everything from pretty takeaways for guests to farmhouse styling elements — visually telling tales of festive do-it-yourself innovations united with whimsy pieces.
Truly Scrumptious Scalloped Paper Dessert Plates are incredibly stunning and affordable additions to afternoon tea party essentials. You may remember some of the designs from Talking Tables, a brand that I used to work with in the UK. Now, many of their pieces are available for you worldwide, including these Alice in Wonderland inspired cut-outs, which brought a little child-like fun to the party.
Are you planning on celebrating Easter or Passover? I am hoping this crisis will pass soon so that I can enjoy my nephew’s upcoming birthday.
