[dōTERRA Spa] At Home

This post is all about hydration, it’s something that many people tend to think about predominantly during cooler months but it’s rather essential for all seasons. Close your eyes, imagine stepping into a spa gloriously surrounded by relaxing rhythms echoing in the background. This time it’s your own tranquil abode, transformed into an at-home spa.

DōTerra’s spa collection has something for everyone, especially to pamper your skin from season to season.

dōTERRA Spa Bath Bars

Spa Citrus Bliss® Invigorating Bath Bar: If you’re looking for an uplifting bar for stressed skin this bar is perfect for you. The citrus bliss scent is enveloped in energy and essential oils that are effective and pleasing to the senses.

The beautiful scent of mandarin, bergamot, tangerine, and clementine all help in stress reduction, but it’s the aroma of lemon, grapefruit, and wild orange that balances this out perfectly. It’s a lovely bath bar, paired with the accompanying lotion post-shower is ideal. I like the clean refreshing scent; it’s somewhat powdery and elegant.

Spa Serenity Bath Bar: This bar provides just as one would imagine, a deeply relaxing bar that beautifully lathers for an optimal cleansing experience. Key ingredients to hydrate, purify and soften the skin include, vegetable-derived glycerin, jojoba oil, aloe veraylang-ylang, lavender, and vetiver oils, amongst others. Just as the Serenity scent (in this post), the soap bar takes you to a tranquil state, it’s perfect after a stressful day. If it doesn’t bring you joy, I don’t know what will. It smells amazing!

The dōTERRA Spa Lip Balm

Lip balm is also something that might seem frivolous at first, however, absolutely practical if not another essential to one’s grooming/skincare routine. This dynamic trio of lip balm is made with coconut and avocado oils.  Just as all lotions are not created equal, the same goes for lip balms.

The infused oils in these are what make the lip balm unique; oil from moringa, which I’ve talked about many times (including here), as well as avocado oil, proper fatty acids that aid in the softening of the skin and keeping your lips healthy. This was a first for me to use a lip balm that incorporated moringa.

I am a bit obsessed with lip balms anyway and keep a separate one nearly in just every handbag that I use throughout the month. The ‘herbal’ lip balm smells more medicinal, which I don’t mind at all, and includes marjoram, lemon verbena, and spearmint essential oils.

The original and tropical scented versions are much more lovely. They all glide on smooth and protect your lips from cracking — a job well done. Tropical is delightful with a blend of ylang-ylangclementine, and lime essential oils. The original has more of a peppermint scent with subtle notes of wild orange.

dōTERRA: Spa Hand & Body Lotion, and Spa Citrus Bliss® Hand Lotion

As I have mentioned, the spa collection offers a bevy of skin-protecting products that are both hydrating and cleansing. Various kits and packages are available for mixing items, such as bath bar packs of three.

If you want to wake up your skin or seek a more energised and invigorating cream, then the Spa Citrus Bliss® Hand Lotion offers just that. The citrus aroma is a beautiful candied-like scent with lemony, wild orange, and vanilla notes. It’s made with macadamia seed oil, squalene, oat protein, and clementine oil to condition the skin, providing relief from dryness.

It makes an ideal upgrade with the macadamia seed oil — an elegant lotion with a kiss that’s not too pungent. Both lotions are non-greasy and will last you quite a long time if used properly.

dōTERRA Spa Replenishing Body Butter

As much as I adore Douglas Fir, this particular body butter to me has too much of it, in my opinion. The texture is very luxurious, definitely worth the slathering of body butter on even the driest of skin.

I did send one to my mum since she has dry skin and she loved it. Although Douglas Fir purifies the skin and helps with breathing more easily and causing less stress, I would have preferred the Douglas Fir not to be as prominent in this formula.  Otherwise, I thought this body butter was incredible.

Like most all of dōTERRA’s spa collection — the results are optimal — the products are non-greasy on the skin. The more you rub into the skin the more deeply hydrating. Key ingredients include jojoba, shea butter, cocoa seed, sweet almond oil, as well as wild orange and frankincense essential oils.

Have you pampered yourself recently? Which one of these would you try?
