Holiday Entertaining Season

Alas, the Advent season is approaching soon, and I’ve got loads of wonderful features to show you for the upcoming holidays. There’s also some culinary succulence that awaits, so come with your bellies empty.

I wanted to share about new pieces from the Emile Henry collection that I was fortunate enough to cook with over the past couple of months. I will be sharing kitchen tips and prep for holiday festivities with you throughout the coming weeks, including some family recipes and entertaining tips for the season.

First up is the Sublime Dutch oven – it truly lives up to its name; it’s a marvellous size (comes in 7.5 Qt.) for stews and entertaining in general. This green hue particularly is a beautiful olive shade that’s a limited edition.

In partnership with our friends at

Remember, Emile Henry cookware is made of 100% ceramic, and the products are versatile for any kitchen. Each oven is handcrafted in France using a proprietary ceramic that can handle both the high heat of searing, frying, and simmering. They are also dishwasher safe, non-toxic, and non-stick. The scratch-resistant glaze allows the products to be very durable as well.

I decided to make a bouillabaisse, which was perfect for the Dutch oven. This bouillabaisse recipe is a simplified modern take on the traditional Provençal fish stew. It’s delicious, easy to make, and surprisingly hearty, even though it’s full of vegetables and seafood. There’s more inspiration coming soon!

What would you make using this Sublime Dutch oven?

The capacity in this style offering is perfect for holiday entertaining. Whether you’re cooking a whole chicken or baking a large artisan loaf, there’s chock-full of options for this versatile Dutch oven.

I have partnered with Emile Henry for a marvellous festive giveaway. There will be two winners and an array of items to choose from. Enter below to win for yourself or win for a family member or friend!

I’ve always used Le Crueset, but I’ve been Emile Henry-curious. The pizza dish is the most intriguing, I’ve never made pizza on anything other than a stone and I think I’d like to try making it in a dish, I bet you can get a great stuffed crust on that.

I have a few Le Creuset pieces and like them also. But, I love my Emile Henry pieces a bit more than regular enamelware and have not had anything come off after using, the pieces are quality. If you’re curious perhaps try some bakeware, or focaccia pan, the no-fuss cleanup is amazing on all their products!
