Awake and Elevate Your Wellness

There’s something inherently luxurious about slow mornings and golden hues swirling in your favourite mug. Enter: Golden Sun Milk — a delicious modern take on traditional herbal tonics, designed to nourish both body and spirit.

As you know, I’ve spoken to you about adaptogens and mushrooms and how I have learned to use herbs for wellness even in my childhood. Anima Mundi Herbals’ Golden Sun Milk is blended with adaptogenic herbs like maca and cordyceps, and anti-inflammatory turmeric.

This golden elixir offers more than aesthetic appeal. It’s a thoughtful balance of beauty and wellness, crafted to support one’s energy, mood, and vitality in the most beautiful way.

It’s also quite versatile to use. I love to make it with hot boiling water as a tea, or with plant-based milk. Sip it warm with frothy milk or incorporate it into your daily recipes — it’s a blend of plants and spices that’s a chic essential in any contemporary herbal kitchen.

Why Golden Sun Milk?

You can use turmeric to make lattes and teas, as well as in cooking but this specific blend is a great combination of both spices and adaptogens. It’s more than just a visually captivating drink—it’s a ritual rooted in ancient herbal wisdom and enhanced by modern adaptogenic science. It also includes some of my favourite botanicals and spices.

This blend features powerhouse herbal goodies such as turmeric, maca, cordyceps, and Mucuna, each known for their unique contributions to physical and mental well-being.

AM to PM Focus

Turmeric, widely celebrated for its active compound curcumin, has been extensively studied for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, whilst cordyceps is praised for energy-boosting benefits and enhancing stamina at the cellular level. Maca, often called “Peruvian ginseng,” supports hormonal balance and resilience to stress, making this blend ideal for both morning clarity thus the sub name, “Awake & Focused” and afternoon grounding.

I use herbal tonics and ginger (which has digestive and stomach protection) quite a lot, and I love the anti-inflammatory benefits that turmeric offers. Golden Sun Milk covers function and flavour, whether enjoyed infused into a nourishing dish or a comforting latte. Its golden hue alone is vibrant and beautiful and adds a luxurious aesthetic to my daily wellness rituals, yet the benefits reach far deeper —potentially supporting mood elevation, adrenal health, and immune response. I also like to make my turmeric lattes chilled with cinnamon, cardamom, and fresh ginger and nutmeg (using the last two fresh is what makes it so good).

Stay tuned for more wellness recipes and rituals, I’ll share more in my newsletter and online.

As scientific studies on adaptogens continue to emerge, many fellow herbalists and wellness advocates turn to this blend and similar for its calming effects and gentle energy-boosting benefits, without the jitters of caffeine.

If you can appreciate slow-living moments and functional beauty you will love this! Using ingredients like turmeric, ginger, and other adaptogens (in Golden Sun Milk) into your routine is a mindful way to sip stylishly whilst receiving wellness from the inside out. This is the Awake blend and there’s also a sleep/calming blend and I enjoy both of them.

What have you added into your self-care routine lately?

As one one suffers from IBD and lots of gut inflammation, I’d give this a try. Turmeric is widely used to help with inflammation and this sounds so beneficial to helping balance the gut biome.

    • Yes, absolutely! Turmeric has such amazing qualities indeed with anti-inflammatory and immunity-boosting benefits. This blend is a great one to start with to use as tea or with cooking, as I mentioned in the post. I think you might like it, too!
I also use a mangosteen, garcinia, dandelion root, and ginger blend, for gut (bloating) and overall health. It cleanses the body with antioxidants, and supports digestive system.

I’m a big fan of drinks with benefits and this golden sun milk definitely sounds like it has many great benefits. I like turmeric but I cannot stand the taste of ginger. I know that’s pretty crazy considering I’m Chinese but I have always avoided using ginger in my cooking. Happy May to you dear Madison!
