Ingredients
  • 2 cups (475 ml) almond milk (or oat milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried lavender buds
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon RELAX tonic - (optional, *See notes)
  • sweetener of choice
  • nutmeg, fresh, (to garnish)
Method:
    1. Prep: Remove lavender buds from the stem (if you haven't already). Set aside.
    2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, pour in half of the milk, and add the cardamom. Heat to a simmer, then add the lavender to the milk mixture. Let the lavender steep in the milk for about 3 minutes.
    3. Add the vanilla extract and RELAX Tonic immediately, and carefully swirl the saucepan around to blend it with the milk. Then, switch off the heat, and remove the saucepan from the hob/stovetop.
    4. Meanwhile, in a milk frothing vessel or separate container, pour in the remaining half of the milk and granulated sweetener. (*If using a liquid sweetener, you can add it at the end).
    5. Strain the saucepan of milk between one or two mugs with a sieve or tea strainer. Add the milk froth on top of the mug(s). Garnish with nutmeg and lavender buds, and enjoy!
